Renting Or Buying Storage

Should you rent storage space or buy a storage building? That may depend on your specific need. If you are an apartment dweller, and have very short term needs, rental may be a viable option.

If you need to store something for a long period of time, and have a place to put a storage building, buying a portable utility building, will almost always be best.

If you are renting a single family dwelling, most leasers will allow you to have a storage shed on the property, but there may be a “waiver” needed in order to make the purchase.

In the end, you will have to decide for yourself, but there are plenty of resources on the internet to help. We recommend Storage Building Blog to help. If you decide that buying is the best route for you, this site also covers many of the issues you may have when buying and placing your building.
