There are options when it comes to owning your own storage shed or utility building.

If you decide you want to build your own storage shed, there are a few things you should consider before you make a trek to the hardware store for tools and materials.
Start with a plan
This is one of those projects that is bigger than a bread box, and smaller than a house, but it has more in common with building a house than a breadbox. This is going to require a substantial amount of material, and a substantial cash outlay, and you don't want to waste either. That means that to avoid wasted material, wasted money, and wasted time, you will need to have a plan.
There are a lot of places you can pick up free plans online, but they may lack the guidance, or the completeness you need for the job. We have in mind a set of plans, actually, about 12,000 of them, including sheds and other woodworking plans, and at a reasonable enough price, that you will probably save the cost of the system in material costs.
The system is called My Shed Plans, and while it may not be perfect, it is about the best thing on the market for shed plans, shed building tips, and guidance through the process of shed building. The savings in time, material and money will make purchasing this product well worth the price.
We have found a few negative posts about this product, but there doesn't seem to be anything more than a few complaints which seemed to fall into a few categories like:
- Someone didn't like it because they lacked the skill
- Someone didn't like it because it didn't have the blueprint for the Taj Ma hall
- Someone didn't like it because it had plans similar to some of the free ones online
Like I said, the system is not perfect, but find anything that is! The fact is, that it does exactly what it was designed to do, for the people it was designed to help.
Overall, we find My Shed Plans to be worth the price and a great guide for the average homeowner who wants to do the job himself.
